SIGN VARIANCE APPLICATION
Dennis,
We are currently seeking approval from the City of Southlake for a variance over the approved
maximum height of one of the building attached signage types we had presented for permit
previously.
As you can see from Exhibit A, the design team initially submitted two types of building attached
signage to be used along Granite Southlake Office 2 south and west elevations. The first sign type,
sized 4’-0” x 50’-0”, is to be located at the high point of the building façade, and the second sign type,
sized 2’-0” x 30’-0” is to be located just below Level 02. Since then, we have realized that in order to
provide consistency within the site and between Office buildings 1 and 2, these lower signs would
need to increase in height from 2’-0” to 2’-6”. All other characteristics of the signs would remain
unchanged and would comply with the spirit and intent of Sign Ordinance 704. Please refer to Exhibit
B with the updated sizes overlaid on the most current elevations as well as Exhibit C for a clear
idenfication of where these signs will be in reference to the project site and how these would relate to
the adjacent streets.
We appreciate your consideration of this issue. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any
comments or questions.
Sincerely,
Anita Delgado, AIA LEED AP BD+C
