Description of event. Address of property and maps of 5K and 1 Mile attached. a. Action: Tuesday, February 02, 2021 met with Gateway for permit signatures in anticipation of a need for a City SUP for 2021. We completed a Mass Gathering instead for 2021. b. Action: Site Address--Gateway Church, 700 Blessed Way, Southlake, TX 76092. c. Action: Run4Elise 5K/1 Mile, supports the Swim4Elise Mission of promoting water safety through community outreach. $10,000 in College and Swim Camp Scholarships will be awarded, along with recognition of lifeguard certifications sponsored by the Foundation. In addition to scholarships for swimming and Red Cross lifeguard certifications d. Action: Funds raised from the event allow the Swim4Elise Foundation to provide FREE water safety education to over 4000+ kids in North Texas daycare classrooms each summer. e. Action: 5K course is a USATF certified course, coordinated by RunFAR. i. This includes 2 Counterclockwise loops around Gateway Church. f. Action: 1 Mile is a fun run that uses part of the same 5K course, both are closed courses g. Action: we coordinate 100 community volunteers to put on the event safely each year h. Action: Saturday, May 14, 2022-- Race Day Itinerary i. Set Up, 5-7 AM ii. Scholarship Recognition, 7:15 AM iii. Invocation and Anthem, 7:40 AM iv. 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, 8:00 AM v. 5 K Run, 9:00 AM vi. Race Awards, 9:30 AM vii. Clean up, 10-11 AM i. Action: Will submitted Off-Duty Police Request to Cpl Mike Bedrich and confirmed receipt. j. Action: Temporary Noise Permit, Officer Tyler Sewell did not think this was necessary, as the announcement stage did not come within 200 feet of any residential property/business owner. k. Action: Mass Gather Registration for 300 to 1000 participants. Completed the SUP instead of the MGR. i. We did have an approved MGR in 2021 due to short notice of our event during COVID. l. Historical Action: Wednesday, December 6, 2017 initial meetings with city including Jennie Lanier, Officer Tyler Sewell, and Lorrie Fletcher at City Hall. p. Historical Action: Wednesday, December 6, 2017 follow-up meeting with Sarah Weaver at Gateway for SUP signatures. q. Historical Action: The inaugural Run4Elise was held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Dragon Stadium. Historical Action: 1000 people came together in 2017 to make the first Run4Elise an extraordinary community event i. 947 total race participants 1. 896 participants were from Texas 2. 425 participants were from Southlake 3. 471 participants were from 54 other Texas communities 4. 51 participants were from out of state or did not indicate their state 5. 34 virtual runners participated from 9 other states ii. 100+ volunteers, provided support months before, during, and after the event iii. Free Water Safety Education was in circulation via swag bags and event tables: 1. American Red Cross 2. City of Southlake, Renni Burt passes out Water Watcher Tags 3. We also invite other “Swim Safe” organizations s. Action: We anticipate the event will continue to receive support from the community, resembling a similar and/or even greater success. 2.
