Item 9B - NarrativeWILLIAMS-SONOMA, INCI
To Whom it May Concern,
Our team is currently working on opening a new West Elm in Southlake Park Village,
iooi E Southlake Boulevard. We are looking to amend the current master sign plan to
allow West Elm their proposed signage. The Park Village Master sign plan currently,
was only approved for the requested tenants Building A (The Fresh Market), Building B
(REI), and Building E (Michaels) and does not allow for additional tenant signage. The
signage package has been reviewed and approved by Shopcore Properties, and Cheryl
Berg the Tenant Construction Manager,
The Fresh Market has vacated the center, and West Ehn will be taking over the corner
portion of Building A. West Elm's space will have viewable frontage on the front, the
side elevation on Southlake Blvd. and at the rear of the building. West Elm's proposed
signage is consistent with the intent of the current MSP, insofar as limiting hazards to
motorists and pedestrians by giving ample time to make accommodations to make their
way to the site safely. West Elm is also maintaining the aesthetics by having signage that
is proportional with the scale of the building, and in line with the other tenants.
The granting of the MSP amendment would in no way be detrimental to public health,
safety or injurious to the properties in the area. Nor will it not create any harmful
environmental consequences.
Furthermore, the MSP amendment being requested would not have any impact on the
orderly development of other land in the area.
Sincerely,
Joshua Geurtsen
