Subject: Approve contract with Wildstone Construction, LLC for the purchase
and installation of an 8" waterline and fire hydrant associated with the
new nature center barn in amount not to exceed $150,000.
Action
Requested: City Council approval of the contract with Wildstone Construction, LLC
for the purchase and installation of an 8" waterline and fire hydrant to
serve the existing nature center building and new barn.
Background
Information: The purpose of this item is to approve the purchase and installation of
an 8" waterline and fire hydrant to serve the existing nature center
building and new barn at the Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve. A
new fire hydrant located within 300 feet of the building structures, fed
by an 8" waterline, is required to meet the International Fire Code
standards for hydrant spacing and hydrant availability to structures.
The current hydrant is 1,200 feet from the current building.
Financial
Considerations: Funding in the amount of $150,000 is being reallocated within the FY
2022 Community Services Department General Fund and SPDC
operating budgets for this project

1. We are a licensed " Fire Protection Sprinkler System- Underground Fire Main Contractor" No. SCR-U-1897567.
2. We have included Sales Tax on the private materials, but not on the public materials. A tax exempt certificated will be req.
3. All underground conflicts to be relocated by others.
4. Inlet Protection is NOT Included. All erosion control not listed above, all maintenance & removal by others.
5. Barricades are excluded for our scope of work. If needed, shall be provided by others.
6. Topsoil or seeding/hydro-mulch is NOT included in our pricing.
7. SWPPP and Erosion control are to be by others.
8. We will set all manholes, cleanout, fire hydrants, valve boxes and inlet tops to final grades provided by plans.
9. All final adjustments of manholes, cleanouts, valve boxes in paving are by others.
10. All landscaping, hardscaping and sprinklers systems are excluded. Removal, repairs or replacement by others.
11. Payment and Performance Bonds are not included.
12. Material testing is excluded.
13. Excess ditch excavation is to be left onsite and spread out along waterline.
14. Plumbing and Fire Line permits are included in unit prices.
15. Layout is included in this proposal.
16. This proposal is based on One (1) mobilization. Additional mobilizations will be $4,500.00 each.
17. 10 working days required to substantially complete.
18. This quote is based on "new layout" plans dated on 4-29-2022 and received 0 addendum.
19. All utilities to end 5' outside face of building with exception of fire riser 1' AFF.
20. All site clearing & demolition, except itemized above is to be by others.
21. Pollution insurance is excluded and shall be by others if needed.
22. Rock Excavation is NOT Included in This Proposal. No Geo Report provided.
23. This Proposal is valid for 10 days from date shown above.

24. Once project is awarded, final pricing on materials will be calculated from shipment date.
25. Proposal and/or line items are subject to be voided/cancelled due to availability of materials.

28. All obstacles & obstructions to be removed & replaced by others.
