Item 6J - NarrativeNARRATIVE April 28, 2022 The I lispanic Heritage Fiesta is a celebration that showcases and celebrates the Hispanic population in Southlake during the Hispanic Heritage Month. This will mark the 2nd year ofthe Hispanic Heritage Month celebration hosted by Sorms Southlake. It is estimated that over 4000 people will attend this event this year. During the event we will again have different cuku al and ni sical groups throughout the day on the main stage. The celebration will start with a few words from the Southlake Mayor, John Hufrnn There w>v be food trucks serving hot food as well as ice cream and fresh fiirit drinks called aguas frescas in Spanish Apart from food trucks, nwic and cultural perforrrances, there will be other vendor stalls for the attendees to visit. We will have the continued presence of police officers. We will also have proper insurance. All activities and entertainment will be consistent with the previous year's event. We request to continue to have the ability to access the park property the day of the celebration We are requesting access to the park property for the following dates for the next five years: Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 Sunday, October 8th, 2023 Sunday, October 6th, 2024 Sunday, October 5th, 2025 Sunday, October 4th, 2026 Each year we will require a 3 hour set-up time, a 5 hoar time for the event and 1 hors to clean up after the event. The hours will range from 10:00am to 8:00pm On the nap enclosed, you will find our projected plan to provide adequate extra trash cans/containers. They are listed as an X under #21 on the list. On the rrap listed as #20 you will find the location requested for extra 4 to 6 portable bathrooms and/or 2 comfort stations. Both #20 and #21 will be provided by an outside private vendor. On the map listed as #19 is the location where we designated the medic station during the event. Finally, we also request the use of signage during the event and throughout the park and stage. Due to a successfiil and safe previous year coordinated by the organijers throughout all aspects of the Hispanic Heritage Fiesta, we are respectfully requesting to be granted a Specific Use Permit in perpetuity.
