2022-03-21 SYAC MinutesCITY OF © SOUTHLAKE SOUTHLAKE YOUTH ACTION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES: MONDAY MARCH 21, 2022 LOCATION: THE MARQ SOUTHLAKE Champions Club- Hall of Fame Classroom 285 Shady Oaks Drive Southlake, Texas 76092 TIME: 4:15 p.m. MEMBERS PRESENT: Srishthi Das, Noor-E-Saher Ahmed, Nicole Beres, Sophia Wilwayco, Allison Bedwell, Safiy Islam, Ayana Perera, Sophia Ahmed, Eesha Bethi, Saarim Syed, Katy Lin, Surina Kishinchandani, and Ria Singh AGENDA: Call to Order — Meeting was called to order at 4:15 PM by Chair Katy Lin. 2. Consent A. Approve the minutes from the February 14, 2022- Motion to approve the minutes with no corrections was made by Noor-E-Saher Ahmed and seconded by Safiy Islam. Motion carried (5-0). 3. Discussion A. Intern Day Information Assistant to the Director, Milenka Lopez presented information about the upcoming Intern Day and was available to answer questions. SYAC members were encouraged to provide 3 possible dates in May and rank their preferred City Departments. Guest Speaker- CIP Project- Public Works- Bryan Ahumada, Engineer -In - Training and Kevin Taylor, Civil Engineer Engineer -In -Training Bryan Ahumada and Civil Engineer Kevin Taylor presented the problem -solving aspect of the City CIP process and was available to answer questions. Adjournment — Motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:03 p.m. was made by Saarim Syed and seconded by Allison Bedwell.
