APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR SOUTHLAKE LIBRARY BOARD MEETING HELD APRIL 20, 2022 APPROVED A motion was made to approve the minutes from the April 20, 2022, Southlake Library Board meeting. Motion: Burr Second: Theaker Ayes: Theaker, Burr, Eaton, Petty, Doby, Bennett Nays: None Abstain: None Vote: 6-0 Motion Carried. Library Task Force Presentation Stacey Black presented statistics on behalf of the Library Task Force. Topics included comparison data of similar city sizes, collection size, return rate, program attendance, and library history. The Library Task Force charter and purpose were presented, as well as the names of members. Samad Rizvi, Angela Weisgarber, Jean Xiu, Tamara McMillin, and Janet Bassenthwaite presented Library Task Force research findings and recommendations. Lori Burr, Rebecca Petty, Tracy Eaton, Janet Theaker, William Doby shared concerns and suggestions. Ken Baker answered questions and concerns. Sharen Jackson answered questions and concerns. 4. LIBRARIAN'S REPORT Cite Librarian Pfledderer shared program information about the Creativity Festival and Summer Reading Program and a presentation on performance. LIBRARY FOUNDATION UPDATE Lori Burr shared the certificate of ordination information. The Foundation Facebook page now has 200+ followers. 6. NEW BUSINESS No new business. 7. PUBLIC FORUM Chair Bennett opened a public forum at 7:49 p.m. to ask anyone wishing to speak to come forward. The forum was closed at 7:50 p.m. 8. ADJOURNMENT The next meeting will be scheduled for August 24, 2022. The meeting was adjourned.
