Melody Andersen provided an overview of the “Tell Us What You Think” tool, noting staff is looking for ways to make the website better. The Committee noted that this tool was a broad call to action. The Committee asked whether the intention was to get feedback on the website, or questions about the City? Staff noted that a lot of questions do not include contact information, and that some misinterpret as a chat tool. The Committee asked what the original purpose of the tool was, and staff noted this was for someone to provide information on the specific webpage they are visiting. The Committee asked about changing wording, and staff noted there were limitations to this, and that email addresses cannot be required. The Committee asked what was done with the information, and staff noted it allows a view into which pages get the most happy or sad faces in terms of submitted feedback. The Committee suggested including a basic question/comment such as "was this page helpful?" or "please provide your feedback" and noted that intent matters. The Committee noted the box is misleading. The Committee mentioned including an optional email address prompt in a separate box. 4. Discuss and walk-through the May 2021 Election Candidate Forums. The Committee discussed the logistics of the May 2021 election candidate forums that the CEC is hosting in April. The group discussed safety and COVID-19 protocols to be followed.
