Requesting a variance to sidewalk requirement
Dear Mayor and City Council members,
I’m requesting a variance to the sidewalk requirement for the property at 1226 Woodsey Ct.
There are no sidewalks in front of any property in Woodsey Ct. The street has a combination of
approximately 20 manufactured houses and approximately 10 site built houses.
The ordinance was amended in 2017 to require sidewalks with one lot plat showings. The house at
1228 Woodsey Ct. is the only house in the street constructed after 2017, and it was granted a variance
on March 2, 2021 to allow no sidewalk to be constructed.
Given how unlikely it is to have continuing sidewalks in the street any time soon, I believe it does not
make sense for us to build one across our property.
