Questions, comments, or
Per my email conversation 6/21 wi h Kevin Ferrer, Ken Baker
other feedback about the
and Robert Cohen, the city had no plans on installing a sidewalk
City's sidewalk priorities list
on the east side of Shady Oaks between Highland and Love
Henry Ct. I see now it is listed as a Tier 1, top priority for the city.
We are in favor of sidewalks through out our community, but
would like some information on how this would affect our
property before providing feedback. A few considerations would
be: 1. why would the city not finish the current sidewalk on the
west side of Shady Oaks that currently extends the majority of
the space between Highland and 1709 except for a very wide
green space where a sidewalk could easily be placed. 2. If a
sidewalk were to be placed on the east side of Shady Oaks how
would that affect 587 Shady Oaks Drive, our property. There is a
large tree, power lines and a significant slope between the road
and our fence. Our property is odd that it sits much lower than
any other property on Shady Oaks. I know that tier 1 is one to
three years away but as we start to plan on the future of our
property including new construction or remodel, we would like
specifics on how the city would plan on handling our property.
Honestly someone wold need to come look at it to understand
how much it slopes. Thanks so much for your time. I look forward
to a reply.

about the City's
sidewalk priorities list Peytonville is a very dangerous place to be walking in the street.
Students attending CSHS and CES walk along Peytonville to get
to/from school.
There are still areas (after 18+ years of alerting the City of SL
and CISD) with NO sidewalk access on either side of the street --
forcing pedestrians to walk in the path of cars along the narrow
2-lane road. I've seen mothers enter the street navigating a
stroller while supervising their older children to/from CES.
It's imperative for a road shared with new high school drivers to
also provide safe sidewalks for pedestrians.
Please quit postponing your duty to take action. Eighteen years
is a LONG time to wait for a sidewalk. We moved into SL Woods
when my child was 6 months old -- she's now in college -- still no
fully connected sidewalk. Why?

Questions, comments, I live in the Regal Oaks neighborhood. Our neighborhood is

about the City's the artery for many of the streets in this part of Southlake. Very
sidewalk priorities list dangerous for walkers and bikers because there is no sidewalk.

Questions, comments, I live on Ptarmigan St., in the Regal Oaks subdivision. I am
or other feedback writing to support building a sidewalk from Morgan Rd., down
about the City's Randol Mill to Dove. Many people bike, run, walk dogs and
sidewalk priorities list children down this stretch of Randol Mill. However, it is
treacherous!!! Cars often come over the hill there from the
Morgan Rd side, past Regal Oaks and are going very fast by the
time they get to Pheasant and beyond. It is impossible to see
someone walking or biking on the right side down that hill. There
are ditches and uneven surfaces - not at all safe. We never let
our kids go there (even when they were already driving to Carroll
Senior High School) - it never was safe enough. Please consider
putting a sidewalk in. It will dramatically improve safety but also
enhance the beauty of the area and expand the access for
families to Dove Rd and the walking paths there. Thank you for
considering our neighborhood!

Questions, comments, Hi! As a previous resident in Tuscan Ridge and now a resident in

Questions, comments,
Hello,
or other feedback
about the City's
We live on Regal Oaks Drive. Our family has two third -graders
sidewalk priorities list
and we often go for walks or bike rides in the neighborhood.
Unfortunately, the only way to get to the path along the Dove Rd
or to Cross Timber Hills lies along dangerous and well -trafficked
Randol Mill Ave between Morgan Rd and Dove Rd. This stretch
has a steep incline and a curve limiting the line of vision for
drivers and is very dangerous to navigate on foot or bike.
I am asking the city to consider installing a sidewalk along
Randol Mill Ave between Morgan Rd and Dove Rd.
With best regards,
Serguei Sofnski

Questions, comments, Sidewalk along Randol Mill Ave
or other feedback
about the City's Please prioritize completing a sidewalk along Randol Mill Ave
sidewalk priorities list from W. Dove Road to Morgan Road. Many residents in the
neighborhoods that border Randol Mill along this stretch use this
corridor to walk in to the Cross Timbers neighborhood, or to the
walking trails and sidewalks along and beyond Dove Road. This
stretch of Randol Mill can have heavy traffic and the ditches
along the roadside are steep and a safety hazard.
Thank you.

Questions, comments, A top priority for installation of a sidewalk in Southlake is a
or other feedback stretch of Randol Mill between Morgan Road and Dove. Many
about the City's residents from Cross Timber Hills and the surrounding
sidewalk priorities list neighborhoods must walk on a two lane bar ditch road that can
be quite dangerous. Installation of a sidewalk would greatly
increase safety as walkers and runners try to access the trails
along Dove road.

Questions, comments, I live on Regal Oaks and the lack of any side walk, espeically a
or other feedback decent one, is quite dangerous for folsk wishing to walk or bike
about the City's down Randoll Mill to the Dove Road junction by the Westlake
sidewalk priorities list trails. PIS put a side walk (with railings to protect children) from
Morgan Road all the way down to the Dove/Randol Mill
intersection to connect to the Westlake Trails. Thank you.

Questions, Comments,
Please make Randol Mill from Morgan Road to Dove Road a
or other feedback
priority. currently we have very un-even bar ditches that are
about the City's
terribly steep and often with high weeds that make walking on the
sidewalk priorities list
side of Randol Mill terribly dangerous and unpleasant.
We have lived on Regal Oaks for over 20 years and have
repeatedly asked for sidewalks with out ever getting any
response- it is about time!
Thank you!

Questions, comments, Please consider putting in a sidewalk along Randol Mill Road. It's
or other feedback just 1/2 mile of sidewalk that would be needed from Morgan
about the City's Road down to Dove Road (along Randol Mill Road).
sidewalk priorities list
There are SEVERAL neighborhoods that it would help to safely
connect. Cross Timbers, Tuscan Ridge, Regal Oaks, Pheasant
Ln, etc. many people are always walking along Randall Mill to get
to the walking paths in Glenwick and Terra Bella, but Randol Mill
is so dangerous because there is so much traffic plus it has lots
of hills and turns with blind spots!!

Questions, comments, or I live in the Southridge Lakes neighborhood. I walk daily in our
other feedback about the neighborhood, the Shady Oaks neighborhood, and Cross Timber
City's sidewalk priorities list neighborhood. There is a small stretch on Peytonville where the
Shady Oaks neighborhood side walk ends to the corner of
Peytonville and Raven Bend with no side walk. There are a
number of people who walk there as well as students riding their
bikes from Southridge Lakes through Shady Oaks to get to
Durham Intermediate. It would be nice if the sidewalk continued
on to Raven Bend as so we would not have to walk on the street
when the short trail is muddy. There is a lot of traffic at that
corner. Thank you in advance.

Jenny, please do! I would be so grateful for any supplemental information you can provide.
I've heard that the city views the neighborhood as an emergency pass through so some options
that can be contemplated in most neighborhoods can't be considered in Timber Lake. I don't
know the accuracy of that statement however.
To that end, I'd welcome a chance to share a revised application with neighbors. I continue to
fear that it will take a major incident to encourage enough neighbors to make the investment.
Any advice on how to overcome objections is appreciated.
Thx,
Chad

Good afternoon, Mr. Mitchell.
Thank you for your feedback. The sidewalk you are proposing would be designated as a
"neighborhood" sidewalk, which would be eligible for the Neighborhood Sidewalk
Matching Funds Program. Through this program, residents can request the City to
participate in up to 50% of the cost of designing and constructing sidewalks within their
neighborhood. The application is currently being revised, but please let me know if you
would like me to forward it to you when it is complete. I'd be happy to discuss this with
you if you have any questions.
Also, your feedback will be shared with the Planning & Zoning Commission and City
Council as they consider the Mobility Plan updates, including sidewalk priorities.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Questions, comments, or The neighborhood of Timber Lake is used as a crossover
other feedback about the between 1709 and Continental. Drivers routinely cut through well
City's sidewalk priorities list above posted speed limits. Taking a family for a walk has
become scary and dangerous. What needs to occur in order to
add the neighborhood to the list of priorities?

Questions, comments, I would love a sidewalk on Brookshire Dr in Southlake. It's a
or other feedback "main" road for the Cambridge neighborhood and nearby
about the City's neighborhoods to get to and from Kimball and Carroll avenues.
sidewalk priorities list It's close to Eubanks and Dawson schools and thus gets lots of
foot traffic. Even students from these schools run on this road
during school hours which always surprises me given there are
no sidewalks. There is also a park on Brookshire so it would be
nice if kids could be safer on a sidewalk thank walking on the
street to and from the park. Because it's a "main" road in the
neighborhood, traffic can many times go over the speed limit. It
would be safer to walk on a sidewalk with the fast drivers in the
road. If I am driving the speed limit of 25 mph, it is not
uncommon for cars to pass me. It's crazy.

Questions, comments, Hello Southlake. Sidewalk and bicycle plan is great! Thank you.
or other feedback Request no further widening of Dove Road east of White Chapel
about the City's to Kimball Avenue. Traffic speeds and noise already exceed rural
sidewalk priorities list atmosphere and local mobility requirements for residents.
Roadway widening will foster through traffic and associated noise
and safety issues beyond existing acceptable residential access.
Dove Road east of Kimball in Grapevine is evidence of this
tragedy.
