OFFICE OF
CITY SECRETARY
City Council
City of Southlake
667 North Carroll Avenue
Southlake, Texas 76092 _
Dear Mayor and Council:
The Dallas-Fort Worth Airport Board intends to utilize their new
runway in a totally unrestricted manner. without regard for the
adverse impacts such use will certainly have on our city.
Federal Law requires lengthy study, public hearing and formal
review of such actions. Without the protection offered by Federal
Law, our city. our homes. and our quality of life in Southlake
are threatened by the course of action taken by the DFW Airport
Board.
A threat to our entire city should be fought by the combined
efforts of our entire city. I believe fifty dollars per household
is a very reasonable price to pay for the defense of our property
rights and our environment.
I urge the City Council to take the actions required to ensure
our rights are defended. The Federal guarantee we have for fair
and equitable treatment must be respected.
Sincerely,
