FORUM SUMMARY:
Development Details:
The City of Southlake is proposing amendments to the Mobility Master Plan, an element
of the Comprehensive Plan, to review recommended priorities for future sidewalk and
roadway construction projects. The City has completed an extensive constructability
evolution for future publicly funded sidewalks, and is using this guide to prioritize sidewalk
projects.
Sidewalks are currently constructed as part of any new residential or commercial
development, park construction, and other Public Works projects. New sidewalks that will
be publicly funded were assessed based on locations near parks and schools, available
right of way easements, connectivity to other sidewalks, utility relocations, and
conjunction with Public Works projects. After assessment, three tiers were established on
importance that will begin within the next three years.
