MEMBERS PRESENT: Craig Rothmeier, Gina Phalen, Michael Springer, Daniel Kubiak,
Scott Dyche, Michael Forman, and Austin Reynolds.
MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: Sr. Director of Planning and Development Services Ken Baker;
Deputy Director of Planning & Development Services Dennis Killough; and Commission
Secretary Lydia Ruiz.

2. Executive Session: Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, Sections 551.071. Refer to posted list attached hereto and incorporate
herein. Executive Session may be held, under these exceptions, at the end of the
Regular Session or at any time during the meeting that a need arises for the Planning
and Zoning Commission to seek advice from the City Attorney as to the posted
subject matter of this Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Section 551.071:
Consultation with attorney.

4. CONSIDER: APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE AUGUST 19, 2021 SIGN
BOARD MEETING.
A motion was made to approve item 4, the minutes from the August 19, 2021 Sign Board
meeting.

5. CONSIDER: SV21-0017, SIGN VARIANCE FOR COLDWELL BANKER REALTY
LOCATED AT 850 E. SH 114, SUITE 119, SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS.
Deputy Director, Dennis Killough informed the Commission that the Applicant was not
present and suggested to move to table.
A motion was made to table item 5.

6. CONSIDER: SV21-0018, SIGN VARIANCE FOR BROOMFIELD HOMES LOCATED
AT 1050 E. SH 114, SUITE 200, SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS.
Deputy Director, Dennis Killough presented item 6; questions were asked.
Applicant — Rick Sutton with Legacy Signs, 10375 Alta Vista, Fort Worth, Texas came
forward to speak and answer questions.

A motion was made to approve item 6, specifically noting the approval of the two
variances: 1) upper story placement and 2) for the sign not aligning with the lease space
and deny the other two variances requested.
