Work Session was called to order by Mayor John Huffman 5:30pm.
2. INVOCATION: CLAYTON REED
Mr. Clayton Reed provided the invocation. Mayor John Huffman led the pledges of
allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags.
3. SOUTHLAKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATES BY JUSTIN LEWIS
Director of Economic Development & Tourism Daniel Cortez introduced Clint Snead who
provided updates on the Southlake Chamber of Commerce events.
4. TRANSPORTATION BOND PROGRAM UPDATE BY COMMISSIONER FICKES
Mayor Huffman introduced Tarrant County Commissioner Gary Fickes who provided an
update on the importance of the Transportation Bond Program.

Assistant City Manager Alison Ortowski provided an overview of alternate design options
for the municipal service center.

Regular Session was called to order by Mayor Huffman at 6:23pm.

Mayor Huffman announced the City Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to
the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071
consultation with city attorney and Section 551.087 deliberate regarding economic
development negotiations. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 6:23pm.
Executive Session began at 6:37pm and concluded at 7:06pm.

Mayor Huffman invited the community to the National Hispanic Heritage event to be held
on Sunday, October 3 in Southlake Town Square.

- This agreement will allow the developer to place an outdoor patio area within the
existing parallel parking spaces, sidewalk, and planter located within the right of way
and utility easements at the southwest corner of the property. The proposed design
would eliminate three parking spaces.
- Applicant agrees to enhance the patio area with additional shade.
- Staff may approve the enhancements made to the patio relative to shade.
