SOUTHLAKE I NARRATIVE
The purpose of this project is to incorporate a patio at Market by Macy's in Southlake
Town Center. The site is currently used as a sidewalk path with a mulched tree bed
and proposed to be a new fenced patio space servicing the guests of Market
by Macy's freshly re-branded café `Herald'. The patio will be accessed through
a new glass storefront system on the side of the building via a new concrete stair
and ramp. Wood baffles matching the store's new interior design will block views
of the service area behind the patio. The site's existing lamp pole will remain as
located, however the sidewalk will be extended into existing parking spaces to
provide a 48" clear path of travel around the new patio space. Finally, the pa-
tio will be decorated with tables, chairs and umbrellas to provide a comfortable
place for patrons of the Southlake Town Square to relax with a meal or coffee.
