FORUM SUMMARY: Property Situation: The property is located at the 2845 Exchange Blvd. at the south side of the intersection with Market Loop. Development Details: The applicant is a specific use permit for a for a kennel within an approximately 6,000 sq. ft. building to provide domesticated animal travel services located at 2845 Exchange Blvd. Suite 180 in an approximately 6,000 sq. ft. lease space with 3 suites in 11, 740 sq. ft. The company is an international pet transport service that transports pets to and from the airport. There may overnight stays for canceled or delayed flights. This is not a daycare, doggie daycare, or overnight kennel. The company coordinates with the airlines to transport pets to the cargo area of the airport- no longer allowed to take crated pets into the terminal, must go to the cargo area of the airport. It is a 365-day business. Any pets that will need to stay overnight will have staff on site overnight. There will be 15 pet runs inside and cat housing- no outside pet runs. The main entrance is the glass door at the front of the building for drop off and pick up of pets. The roll up door is used to bring the transport vehicle inside to load and unload the pet crates inside for transport to and from the airport. Where are the kennels located? The kennels are located in the rear of the lease space in the open area. What is the volume of animals transported? No more that 15 pets during the day. What time are they transporting the animals? The animal may be transported to the airport as early as 4 am in the morning for international flights. Concern for noise and the green space on the rear of the building use for animals.
