It appears the developer will not quit. I have been a homeowner in Southlake for the last 20 plus years and this issue of building rental units/apartments has come up numerous times. I am not sure what the developer holds over this City, but apparently his concerns seem to out-weight the concerns of the citizens that pay taxes and vote for your positions. Southlake seems to be running on course with the rest of the nation where the desires of the citizens is outweighed by the wants of the few and wealthy. A great example of the developers lack of trust is the "famous fountain" in the heart of the City that has never worked or lived up to what the developers promised. While I know some of you are new, how many times do the citizens of Southlake have to attend the city council meetings to express their concerns and disagreements with the proposed development. I, and many of my fellow neighbors do not want our city to become like Addison or the other cities that have allowed apartments. We don't want transient people who really don't invest in the city. I know you really don't believe this or maybe don't care, but if you vote for this, your votes will go down in History as the votes that brought the quality and reputation of Southlake down. Please consider the desire of the majority of the homeowners in Southlake and do not vote to approve this development. Sincerely Mark Kotter 406 Edgemont Drive Southlake, Texas 1
