Questions and Concerns:

I °
1. Concerned with the grandparent clause and the large number of children in the Carroll
ISD, concerned with traffic and roads, concerned with infrastructure being able to handle
the development, and concerned with the increase of delivery vehicles to the
development.
Response: Not legally able to restrict grandparent clause and pricing for each unit is
high. Residents able to walk to services in the area and will reduce trips. Delivery traffic
may not be as bad as other commercial traffic in the area.
2. Concerns with infrastructure and more residential development in the area.
Response: The Town Square infrastructure was built to handle more than what is
proposed. The power plant issue in not a local issue and is a statewide issue.
3. Concerns with drainage from Town Square to the north across SH 114 and N. Kimball
Avenue and Paterson pond will be overloaded with water and silt (currently happening).
Would support this development if a drainage study was conducted that would address
the issue.
Response: Resident to contact Frank Bliss to discuss the concerns.

Question or Comment
once again, I do not want to see .any high density housing in
Southlakee We live directly behind Central Nlarket Our
neighborhood had No power for 4 days. 50% of the houses on
our street have extensive storm darnage, .and we have had to
move into an extended day hotel in a nearby city- The pourer
systern couldn't handle the needs of our current population, so
lets throw 54 more residences into a couple of acres in Town
Square_ What about the increased water and sewage from
such a high density proposal_ I see absolutely no benefits to the
City of South lake in this proposal. --please vote NO! Thank you

Subject: SPIN2021-07 58 Garden Residences
Madame Mayor,
I read the announcement for the SPIN Town Hall Forum for 27 April.
We are not against some changes for Southlake. For example, we approve of the construction of the
Westin Hotel and other businesses. The only agenda item for the Forum that we disapprove is
SPIN2021-07.
My wife and and are strongly against SPIN2021-07. We believe that the apartment dwellings will
have an adverse impact on the quality of life in Southlake. The proposal to add apartments in Town
square ,if approved, would be very profitable for the developers who probably do not reside in
Southlake. The profit motive is understood. However, we consider the long term effects of the
apartments that would outstrip services and change the calm residential character of Southlake.
It is understood, that you are not running for re-election, but what is your advice on the most effective
means to prevent approval of this proposal.
Thank you for your assistance in advance.
Sincerely,
Michael and Sarah Popelka

Question or Comment
Since I am unable to attend the Spin meeting on April 27, 2021,
1 would life to voice my concern regarding Garden Apartments
in Town Square- Anything resembling multiple dwel ling homes
rather than single fami ly homes, I am opposed to. f]ur Town
Square is already a congested and I am opposed to having up
to 68 more residents in 2 bwildi ngs. Apartments were already
defeated and in my opinion, this is just another attempt to put in
multiple family dwellings with another name, "Garden
Residenoes"_ It sounds like a fancy name for more apartments°
I am opposed.
Sincerely
Jean: Pullin
