TIME: 4:15 p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Rishik Bethi, Katy Lin, Mitibella LeNguyen, Samad Rizvi, Sophia
Ahmed, Samhith Dharani, Surina Kishinchandani, Eesha Bethi, and Anish Velala
AGENDA:
Call to Order — Meeting was called to order at 4:17PM
2. Consent
A. Approve the minutes from the April 12, 2021- Motion to approve the minutes
with no corrections was made by Katy Lin and seconded by Eesha Bethi.
Motion carried (9-0)
3. Discussion
A. Guest Speaker- Deputy Director of Public Works Kevin Ferrer presented an
overview of the Public Works Department and an overview of how
Engineering is applicable within the City's infrastructure. Deputy Ferrer was
available to answer questions from the Commission.
B. Intern Day- Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented the
details for the upcoming Intern Day. The Members were instructed to
complete the liability form and to email Vicky their City department
preferences. The Member's Intern Day department assignments were to be
emailed by the end of the week. Community Relations Manager Vicky
Schiber was available to answer questions.
C. June Meeting- Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented the
details for the June meeting to be held the day of the City Council meeting.
The Commission Members would have the opportunity to meet the City
Council Members prior to the start of the meeting and stay to attend the
meeting and observe. Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber was
available to answer questions.
D. 2021-2022 Agenda Items- Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber
presented the potential 2021-2022 agenda items for discussion. The
Commission Members were instructed to email agenda suggestions to
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber and Assistant to the Director
Milenka Lopez.
4. Adjournment — Motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:30p.m. was made by Katy Lin
and seconded by Anish Velala. Motion carried (9-0)
