RESOLUTION 03-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING NEIGHBORHOOD
REPRESENTATIVES TO THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE
SOUTHLAKE PROGRAM FOR THE INVOLVEMENT OF
NEIGHBORHOODS (SPIN); PROVIDING FOR TERMS; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, established the
Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods (SPIN) to provide a more
available form of citizen participation in the affairs of the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the mission statement of SPIN is to provide a forum which fosters
open government and timely communication between the citizens of the City of
Southlake and City Government regarding programs, activities, and issues that affect
the -quality of life in the community and fosters a stronger sense of community; and,
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 598-A, the City Council created the SPIN
Standing Committee to represent each of the designated SPIN areas with residents
from each SPIN area selecting a representative; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council officially names the SPIN Standing Committee
members through a resolution after the SPIN area has selected a representative; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The following are hereby appointed as neighborhood representatives to
the SPIN Standing Committee for the term specified:

Section 2. This resolution shall become effective after its passage and adoption by the
