A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE LOCAL
OPTION ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 6, 2001;
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE PROPOSITION FOR
THE LEGAL SALE OF WINE FOR OFF -PREMISE
CONSUMPTION ONLY; AND, PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on November 6, 2001, A
Local Option Election for the purpose of considering the proposition for the legal sale of wine
for off -premise consumption only; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 3,136 votes as shown on the official election
results heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and
filed with the City Secretary of said City; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City voted in said election, and
said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas, on November 12, 2001; and showed the following results:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The above canvass is, and the same is hereby in all things approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 12th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2001.
