RESOLUTION NO. 01-025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, CANVASSING
THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 5, 2001;
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF CHARTER
AMENDMENTS; AND, PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on May 5, 2001, A
Special Election for the purpose of considering amendments to the Home Rule Charter of
the City of Southlake; and,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 3,397 -votes as shown on the official
election results heretofore lawfully submitted to the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas, and filed with the City Secretary of said City; and,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City voted in said
election, and said election was called and held in strict conformity with the laws of the
State of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by the City Council
of the City of Southlake, Texas, on May 8, 2001; and showed the following results:
PROPOSITION NO. 1
Shall the Charter of the City of Southlake be amended to be consistent with State Law
with respect to the appointment, qualifications, and salary for the municipal court judge,
the appointment of alternate judge(s) for the municipal court of record, and to establish a
term of office of two (2) years for the judge and alternate judge(s) of the municipal court
of record, amending Section 5.02, and repealing Sections 2.02, and 5.04?

CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The above canvass is, and the same is hereby in all things approved.
