RESOLUTION NO. 99-52
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
FOCUS GROUPS BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE AND THE
CARROLL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT TO STUDY
PROJECTS OF MUTUAL INTEREST.
WHEREAS, the Carroll Independent School District and the City of Southlake are
experiencing tremendous growth which has generated the need for more services and facilities
to address the needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Southlake to work more
closely with the Carroll Independent School District to ensure that all aspects of the
community needs are represented by all interested persons; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake believes that the establishment
of focus groups between the City of Southlake and the Carroll Independent School District to
study projects of mutual interest will be in the best interest of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Southlake to direct City staff to
initiate the establishment of focus groups with the Carroll Independent School District, its
board and staff, as projects of mutual interest arise.
SECTION 2.
That the membership of the focus groups may consist of members of the City Council,
the Carroll Independent School District Board, and those in the community interested in
serving with City staff and District staff assigned to study the individual projects.
