RESOLUTION NO. 98-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas, was approved by
the voters in a duly called Charter Election held on April 4, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, in the Home Rule Charter, Chapter XI concerns Planning and Zoning; and
Section 11.03 allows for appointments for two (2) year terms on the commission; and,
WHEREAS, currently the terms of four (4) commissioners have expired; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. All of the findings in the preamble are found to be true and correct and the City
Council hereby incorporates said findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. The terms of Joe Wright, Lanny Tate, Ann Creighton, and one (1) vacant position
have expired.
Section 3. The City Council hereby appoints the following persons to the Planning and Zoning
Commission to serve a term to expire in May, 2000.
1. C.D. Peebles two year term)
2. Ann Creighton two year term)
3. Keith Shankland two year term)
4. Mike Sandlin two year term)
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective after its passage and approval by the City
Council.
