RESOLUTION NO. 98-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO FILL AN
UNEXPIRED TERM; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Parks and Recreation Board was created for the purpose of planning and
developing parks and park sites within the City of Southlake, for the use and benefit of its
citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board shall consist of nine (9) members to serve
three year terms; and,
WHEREAS, currently a vacancy exists on the board since the resignation of Ronnie
Kendall, leaving an unexpired term which will expire in May, 1999; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. All of the above findings in the preamble are found to be true and correct and the City
Council hereby incorporates said findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in its
entirety.
Section 2. The City Council hereby appoints Cara White as a member of the Parks and
Recreation Board to fill the unexpired term of Ronnie Kendall, with a term to expire in May,
1999.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective upon passage by the City Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 6TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1998.
