1997-062 (2)City of Southlake, Texas RESOLUTION NO. 97-62 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION TO FILL TWO (2) UNEXPIRED TERMS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it advisable and necessary to establish a Senior Advisory Commission for the City of Southlake, to act as an advisory board to the City Council related to senior programs and city issues; and, WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 653, establishes the Senior Advisory Commission and stated the Senior Advisory Commission shall consist of six (6) citizens of the City of Southlake, who must be at least 55 years of age; and, WHEREAS, places on the Commission shall be numbered one (1) through six 6) and vacancies shall be filled in the same manner provided for regular appointments; and, WHEREAS, Place 1 was vacated by Jim Goggin's resignation subsequent to previous appointments, and another vacancy is created by the absence of Crawford Hall; now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. All of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. The City Council hereby appoints the following citizens to fill the unexpired term of Place 1, with a term to expire in May, 1998 and Alternate, with a term to expire in May, 1999. PLACE 1 LINDA MOORE ALTERNATE ZENA RUCKER Section 3. This resolution is effective upon passage by the City Council. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 16TH OF SEPTEMBER, 1997.
