RESOLUTION NO. 97-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
SOUTHLAKE PARK DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority granted by the Development Corporation Act of
1979, Article 5190.6, Texas Revised Civil Statutes as amended (the "Act"), the City Council
found it advisable to authorize the creation of a non-profit corporation to be named the Southlake
Park Development Corporation, to act on its behalf in financing, under the Act, eligible "projects"
deemed to be for the benefit of the public; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors shall be composed of seven (7) persons; and,
WHEREAS, four (4) of the members shall be members of the City Council and the three
3) remaining directors must not be employees or officers of the City, or members of the City
Council, and at least one of the remaining directors must be a member of the Southlake Park and
Recreation Board; and,
WHEREAS, currently two (2) Councilmember places are available (Rick Stacy and
Pamela Muller); one (1) Park Board member position has expired (Carol Lee Hamilton); and one
1) citizen position (Ronnie Kendall) is vacant; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. All of the findings in the preamble are found to be true and correct and the City
Council hereby incorporates said findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in its
entirety.
Section 2. The City Council hereby appoints the following to fill the expired terms:
1. Councilmember Position RICK STACY (two year term)
2. Councilmember Position PAMELA MULLER (two year term)
3. Citizen Position BETHANN SCRATCHARD(two year term)
4. Park Board Position RONNIE KENDALL (two year term)
Section 3. That this resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval by the City
Council.
