A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A PARTICIPATION FEE FOR BENEFITTED
PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD SEWER PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake, Texas is a home rule city acting under its charter
adopted by the electorate pursuant to Article XI, Section 5 of the Texas Constitution and Chapter
9 of the Local Government Code; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas has determined that it is in
the best interest of the City to provide municipal sanitary sewer to those subdivisions currently
on septic systems; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a fair and equitable method for assessing
a participation fee to the benefitted property owners; now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. All of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into
the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. The City Council desires to establish a participation fee to each of the benefitted
property owners within a neighborhood in the amount of $1,300. The City Council shall by
resolution, set an annual participation fee at the commencement of each budget year beginning on
October 1, 1996.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective after its passage and adoption by the City
Council. -
