RESOLUTION NO. 94-10
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING A
THIRD MEMBER TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Southlake,
Texas, has authorized the funding of a staff position to promote,
assist, and enhance economic development activities in the City of
Southake; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has created an Economic
Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) and determined that said
committee shall consist of three (3) members; and,
WHEREAS, two members of the EDAC have been previously
appointed, leaving one vacancy on the Committee to be appointed;
now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. that all of the above premises are true and correct and
are hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if
copied in its entirety.
SECTION 2. The City Council desires to appoint the following
member to serve on the Economic Development Advisory Committee:
Betty Springer'
SECTION 3. Members of the EDAC are appointed for one-year terms,
with the initial members appointed to serve until May, 1995. Any
member is eligible for reappointment.
SECTION 4. The EDAC shall meet with the City Manager and the City
Manager's designees as needed, at a time and place to be determined
by the Committee, to promote, assist, and enhance economic
development activities.
SECTION S. This resolution shall become effective from and after
the date of its passage.
