A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SOUTHLARE, TERAS,
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION HELD TO DETERMINE
WHETHER OR NOT TO IMPOSE A ONE-HALF OF ONE PERCENT SALES
AND USE TAX FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SOUTHLARE PARRS
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
WHEREAS, on November 2, 1993 an election was held in
accordance with Chapter 321 of the Tax Code for the purpose of
voting on the adoption of a sales and use tax in the City of
Southlake, Texas; and
WHEREAS, Section 321.405 of the Tax Code requires that within
ten days after an election in which the voters approve of the
adoption of a tax authorized by Chapter 321, the governing body
shall declare the results of the election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLARE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. At a special election held on November 2, 1993,
the following proposition was submitted to the voters and approved:
The adoption of a one-half of one percent sales and use
tax for the benefit of an industrial development
corporation created pursuant to V.A.T.C.S. Article
5190.6, Section 4B, for the purpose of developing public
parks or other projects permitted by law."
Section 2. Votes were cast as follows:
For the proposition:
Against the proposition:
701 votes
303 votes
Therefore the proposition was approved by 398 votes.
Section 3. The City Secretary is authorized and directed to
send by certified or registered mail a certified copy of this
resolution, along with a map of the City of Southlake clearly
showing its boundaries as soon as possible, but in any event before
the end of the current calendar quarter.

Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and it is so resolved.
