CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 88-104 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, REPEALING THE SICK LEAVE BUY-BACK PROVISIONS IN THE CITY'S PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 3, Paragraph N, Chapter 8, of the City of Southlake Personnel Rules and Regulations providing for the buy-back of sick leave on December 1, of each year, creates an unfunded monetary obligation to the City; and WHEREAS, the creation of such unfunded monetary obligations is not in accordance with generally accepted governmental accounting principles and therefore does not provide for the proper administration of the affairs of the City; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council that budget expenditures shall not exceed the estimated income and unencumbered funds from previous years. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE: Section 1. That all of the above recitals and preambles are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That Section the City of Southlake Personnel for the buy-back of sick leave is provision abolished. 3, Paragraph N, of Chapter 8 of Rules and Regulations, providing herewith deleted and the buy-back Section 3.
