CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS
RESOLUTION 88-67
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, RECOMMENDING
TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION THAT ALTERNATE
3 BE ACCEPTED AS A PREFERRED ALIGNMENT
FOR STATE HIGHWAY 114.
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake, engaged the firm of
Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, to provide engineering
and other technical services related to the Schematic
Design of Highway 114; and,
WHEREAS, the L.A.N. Study resulted with three alternate
routes for the proposed construction of State Highway
114; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in
the best interest of the citizens of the City of
Southlake to recommend to the State Highway Department
that Alternate #3 is the preferred alignment; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be
true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City of Southlake hereby formally
expresses its recommendation to the State Highway
Department that the preferred alignment is Alternate #3.

Section 18. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be
