1988-0583 - CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS RESOLUTION 88-58 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, STATING THAT A MORATORIUM BE PLACED ON CONSTRUCTION ON HIGHWAY 114 AND FM 1709 PENDING A DETERMINATION FROM THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT ON THE WIDTH OF RIGHT-OF-WAY. PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the State Highway Department has indicated a need to improve SH 114 and FM 1709 and to upgrade the highway to improved roadways to handle the projected traffic; and, WHEREAS, the State Highway Department has not established the right-of-way lines required to accomodate the upgrade traffic lanes and crossings; now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH - LAKE, TEXAS, THAT: A moritorium be placed in effect for a period of 90 days to permit the State Highway Department the time to establish projected right-of-way lines thus enabling a construction along to the two highways to be accomplished using set back lines compatible with the proposed improvement of the highways.
