1988-042CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 88-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF THE CITY'S EXISTING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF 33,533.68; RESCINDING THE ACTION OF THE COUNCIL TAKEN NOVEMBER 4, 1986 RELATING TO THE EXPENDITURE OF SUCH FUNDS; DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Southlake currently has existing and unused Federal Revenue Sharing Funds held over from the last entitlement period; and WHEREAS, by action taken on November 4, 1986, the City Council authorized the expenditure of such funds for City land; however, the funds were never expended for such purpose; and WHEREAS, having given the requisite notice by publication and having held a public hearing as required by law, the City Council has determined that the best interest of the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the citizens of the City would now be served by the expenditure of the Revenue Sharing Funds in the manner set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to expend the City's existing Federal Revenue Sharing Funds in the amount of $33,533.68 for the following items: Items Two (2) Police Patrol Units (Contract Based on Competitive Bids Awarded by Resolution No. 88-77) One (1) Radar Unit One (1) Mobile Radio - Southlake Police Frequency One (1) Mobile Radio - Inner -City Frequency Installation of Radar Unit and Mobile Radios 0 2 1 3 a/ 7 1 Section 3. That the action taken by the Council on November 4, 1986, authorizing the expenditure of the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for City land is hereby rescinded in its entirety. Section 4.
