RESOLUTION NO. 87-91
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS
ACCEPTING THE LOWEST BID OF $160,000 FROM
LANDMARK STRUCTURES FOR THE RELOCATION AND
ERECTION OF THE 500,000 GALLON -WATER STORAGE
TANK; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPROVE CHANGE ORDERS FOR THIS CONTRACT
WHICH WILL EITHER ADD TO OR SUBTRACT FROM
THE CONTRACT PRICE IN AN AMOUNT TOTALLING
15,000; DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ADVISE THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANY APPROVED
CHANGE ORDERS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the advertisement for
bids for the construction of a 1.5 million gallon storage tank
and the dismantling, storage and erection of a 500,000 gallon
storage tank; and
WHEREAS, Landmark Structures submitted the lowest bid of
160,000 for completion of the project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to award the completion
contract to Landmark Structures as the lowest bidder.
WHEREAS, the completion of this contract may require the
approval of certain change orders; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager shall be given the authority to
approve change orders on this project which will either add to
or subtract from the contract price in an amount totalling
15,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
Section 1. The above premises are found to be true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as
if they were set out in their entirety herein.
Section 2. The City Council hereby accepts the bid from
Landmark Structures for the relocation and erection of a 500,000
gallon water storage tank in the amount of $160,000, more
particularly described in the bid documents attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes.

Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
approve any change orders for this project without City Council
approval for all changes which either add to or subtract from
the contract price in an amount totalling $15,000.
Section 4. The City Manager is hereby directed to advise
the City Council of any change orders which are approved
relating to the contract.
Section 5. This resolution shall become effective after
its passage and adoption by the City Council.
