1987-028CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 87-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN OFFICES OF THE CITY PURSUANT TO THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE UPON PASSAGE AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, a Home Rule Charter was approved by the voters in a duly called charter election April 4, 1987; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the new Home Rule Charter is needed, feasible and in the best interest of the community. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: Section 1. That all the findings in the preamble are found to be true and correct and the City Council does hereby incorporate said findings into the body of this resolution as if copied in their entirety. Section 2. That effective immediately, the City Council hereby appoints Lloyd 0. Latta, Jr. as City Manager pursuant to Section 4.10 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas. Section 3. That effective immediately, the City Council hereby appoints Sandra L. LeGrand as City Secretary pursuant to Section 4.20 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas. Section 4. That effective immediately, the City Council hereby appoints Brad Bradley as Judge of the Municipal Court pursuant to Section 5.02 of the'Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas. Section 5. That effective immediately the City Council hereby appoints John F. Boyle, Jr. of Hutchison Price Boyle & Brooks as City Attorney pursuant to Section 6.01 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Southlake, Texas. Section 6. That this resolution be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
