1982-003RESOLUTION 82-3 WHEREAS, the City of Southlake has amended their Personnel Rules and Regulations several times in the past , AND; WHEREAS, Resolution 81-26 now referrer to the present rules and regulations for the employees of the City of Southlake, AND; WHEREAS, the Rules and Regulations do not address a policy for inclement weather for City employees, NOW; , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: Resolution 82-3 be an amendment to the existing Personnel Rules and Regulations, adding a policy for inclement weather for City Employees. The policy follows: If weather conditions are such as to make travel conditions extremely hazardous, the Mayor will make such determination and advise the Dispatch Office of the City. The Mayor's determination may either be for late opening of City Hall or office closure. Such determination will only effect non-essential personnel. All fire and police personnel are deemed as essential as is an emergency crew from the Water Department. In liu of such emergency declaration, any staff member not reporting or reporting late to work will be charged with vacation leave, at the discretion of the Mayor. I In lieu of the Mayor's absence, the Mayor Pro Tem will make the decision, and in his absence, the City Administrator will be responsible for the decision. 1-1?
