RESOLUTION NO. 81-7
WHEREAS, there was held in the City of Southlake, Texas, on
the 4th day of April, 1981, an election for Mayor, Council -
person Place 1 and Place 2,
And,
WHEREAS, there were cast at said election 657 votes as shown
in the official election returns heretofore lawfully submitted
to the City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, and filed
with the City Secretary of said City;
And,
WHEREAS, only duly qualified resident electors of said City
voteddin,said election, and said election was called and held
in strict conformity with the Laws of the State of Texas;
And,
WHEREAS, the results of said election were duly canvassed by
the City Council of the City of Southlake on the 6th day of
April, 1981, and showed the following results;
MAYOR:
Sam Sparger .............................. 365 votes
Wade Booker ........................... 291 votes
Lou Samartin (write in) .................. 1 vote
PLACE 1:
Johnny Westerholm ........................ 321 votes
Leonard Russell .......................... 27 votes
J.R."Rick" Stacy ......................... 252 votes
Dennis Crosby (write in) ................. 1 vote
PLACE 2:
Lloyd Latta .............................. 330 votes
TomLoris ................................ 315 votes
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The above canvass be and the same is hereby in all things approved.
2. Sam Sparger is hereby declared to have been elected to the Office
of Mayor to serve until April, 1983; Johnny Westerholm is here-
by declared to have been elected to the Office of Councilman,
Place 1, to serve until April, 1983, and Lloyd Latta is hereby
declared to serve as Councilman, Place 2, until April 1983.
