Subdivision Ordinance No. 483, as amended, Sections 8.01(A) and 5.04, require that every lot shall front on a public street (which includes public utilities). The applicant is requesting approval of a variance to allow the lot to be accessed by a private driveway with a private water line. 2. Subdivision Ordinance No. 4831 section 5.06 requires minimum 5' sidewalks along both sides of all public and private streets. No sidewalks are proposed. CITY OF SOUTHLA,KE Texas Local Government Code Section 212.015, Additional Requirements for Certain Replats, Subsection (c) If the proposed replat requires a variance and is protested in accordance with this subsection, the proposed replat must receive, in order to be approved, the affirmative vote of at least three-fourths of the members present of the municipal planning commission or governing body, or both.
