Re: Block 20 — Request for One Year Extension to Sales Center SUP
Dear Ken:
The SUP for the Sales Center on Block 20, Lot 1 of Southlake Town Square expires on March 31,
2021. By the attached application, we are requesting a one-year extension of the SUP until
March 31, 2022, to give us time to finalize the Site Plan and other entitlements.
Per the January 15, 2019 City Council approval, a one-year extension of the SUP is triggered if a
building permit is issued for the Garden District Residences. Due to delays in Parkview's
completion, coupled with ongoing issues with the COVID pandemic, we are only now in the
process of finalizing the Site Plan for the Residences. Before we file that application, we will
reach out to Town Square residents to solicit their input. Given the process ahead, we will not
be in position to pull a building permit by March 31, 2021.
The requested one-year extension will give us time to seek community input and complete
entitlements for the Garden District Residences. To expedite that process, we have recently
moved our company offices to the Sales Center. We are keeping an open-door policy, and
welcome residents, members of the City, and any interested parties who would like to stop by
and learn more about what we are doing.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information in support of this
request. Warmest wishes to you and everyone at the City for a very Happy Holidays.
Sincerely,
Frank L. Bliss
