Item 6D - USACE LetterDEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, FORT WORTH DISTRICT 110 FAIRWAY DRIVE GRAPEVINE, TEXAS 76051-3495 20 NOVEMBER 2020 Grapevine Lake Project Office Rockwater Developments, LLC P.O.Box 6 Roanoke, TX 76262 Mr. Troy Lewis, Thank you for meeting with me on the 19th of November 2020 to discuss your proposed road across US Army Corps of Engineer flowage easement. As discussed, we do allow roads to cross USACE flowage easement property if the cut and fill balance does not negatively affect our ability to store flood waters. In discussing your plans, it appears that we will not be negatively affected, and we could issue a consent to cross USACE flowage easement. Mr. Richard DeOtte who was at our meeting on the 19th also meet with me and USACE reality specialist Greg MacAllister today to review the preliminary plans and discuss the project more. In reviewing those preliminary plans of where the road would cross USACE flowage easement and where soil would be removed to compensate any fill amount from the road, again this is something USACE could issue a consent for. Once a we receive the request letter, construction plans and designs, and a survey of the area we can begin the formal review of the project. Our Real Estate division would be the section of USACE that approves or denies the consent to cross flowage easement with the road after reviews from the project office, regional office and Operations division. If you or the Town of Southlake have any further questions, please contact me at (817)865-2612. Sincerely, John Mathney Grapevine Lake Manager Trinity Region REPLY TO ATTENTION OF
