NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING - TAX ABATEMENT DAL - FINALNOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO CONSIDER POSSIBLE TAX ABATEMENT AGREEMENT REINVESTMENT ZONE NO. 2 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020 AT 5:30 PM CITY OF SOUTHLAKE COUNCIL CHAMBERS TOWN HALL 1400 MAIN STREET SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS 76092 The City Council of the City of Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas, at the above described date, time, and location, will conduct a public meeting where it may consider a proposed tax abatement agreement for approval applicable to the Reinvestment Zone No. 2, as described as follows: Property owners (lessors) / tax abatement agreement applicant: Property Owner/Applicant: VariSpace Southlake L.L.C. Name and location of reinvestment zone: Reinvestment Zone No. 2, generally located at 1900 West Kirkwood Boulevard, Southlake, Texas General description of the nature of the improvements included in the agreement: This project is a new VariSpace Southlake facility that will expand the VariSpace services. Improvements will be made to vacant building complex with 450,000 total square feet located at 1900 West Kirkwood Boulevard, improving the City’s commercial Class A office market by redeveloping an aging property that has been vacant for almost fifteen years, making it more attractive to users in the marketplace and increasing viability for occupancy. This complex includes a campus setting with three connected buildings, two buildings with three floors and one building with five floors. The building will be renovated as a professional office space, inclusive of individual and group workspaces, available for lease to tenants with various space requirements. Renovations will include exterior upgrades, the addition of a fitness center, on-site café coffee bar, shared conference and training areas, five outdoor courtyard areas and furnishings and equipment for all office spaces. After renovation, the campus will include approximately 350,000 leasable square feet and accommodate approximately 1500 tenant employees. Estimated cost of the improvements: $34,747,400
