Southlake Blvd. Variance Request Details Sign Type Proposed Sign Ordinance 704-J Restricted Parking Signs •Six (6) permanent instructional restricted parking signs placed in designated pick-up areas. •6 s.f. in area •Predominantly red with yellow, black and white coloring. •Temporary or permanent OR Affixed to curb •1 per 25 parking spaces but not less than 2 per tenant. •Maximum 2 square feet sign area •Limited to black lettering with white background Directional and Wayfinding Signs •One (1) double sided sign and two (2) single-sided signs; for a total of three (3) directional pole type signs. •Total height of 7 feet •3 s.f. in area •Predominantly red with yellow, black and white coloring. •Limited to two (2) per site •Directional signs that are visible from the right of way shall have a minimum of 6 inches of masonry sign structure or material matching the building, completely surround the sign face. •Maximum height allowed is 3 feet •Maximum sign face area allowed is 4 square feet. •Maximum sign structure area allowed is 10 square feet. The restricted parking signs are 4 sq. ft. in area with orange and green coloring. Approved Signs for Kroger Sign Board considered a grocery pick-up sign package for Kroger that included an attached building sign, five (5) restricted parking signs and directional signs. Following the Sign Board meeting, the applicant worked with staff and ultimately withdrew their request for variances, removed the proposed directional signage and installed signage that was compliant with their existing Master Sign Plan and the regulations in Sign Ordinance No. 704, as amended.
