DETAILS: Moxie’s is located on the northwest corner of Main Street and Central Ave.; previously occupied by Café Express and the HMK store. The application also includes a pedestrian blade sign (Sign C) and an attached fascia sign (Sign D) which are both compliant with the current MSP. Specifically, under the MSP sign regulations, awning signs are not allowed to be illuminated and the maximum letter height allowed is 12 inches. The applicant proposes an awning sign that has face-lit channel letters with a maximum letter height of 24 inches. In addition, the applicant is proposing a monument sign which is a sign type prohibited in the current MSP for this location. Lastly, the applicant is proposing temporary construction barricade signage in locations that are located within 25 feet of public rights of way, which is not allowed.
