Mayor Pro Tem Shawn McCaskill led the pledges of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. SOUTHLAKE BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT — RONKOT DESIGN Deputy Director of Economic Development Daniel Cortez introduced Ronak Kothari of Ronkot Design for this month's Southlake Business Spotlight. Mr. Kothari provided an overview of Ronkot Design. 4. RECOGNITION OF SOUTHLAKE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM STATE WIN REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES, DECEMBER 3, 2019 Page 1 of 9 Mayor Pro Tem McCaskill recognized the Southlake Cross Country Team with a proclamation. Coach Justin Leonard accepted the proclamation and spoke about the team's accomplishments. The coach and team members took a picture with Council prior to the start of the meeting. 5. RECOGNITION OF SOUTHLAKE UNDER ARMOUR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS Mayor Pro Tem McCaskill recognized the Southlake Under Armour National Championship Teams. Coaches and team members accepted the proclamations and spoke about their accomplishments. The coaches and team members took a picture with Council prior to the start of the meeting. 6. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Pro Tem McCaskill announced the City Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 consultation with city attorney. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 5:57pm. Executive Session began at 6:04pm and concluded at 6:30pm. 2B. RECONVENE Mayor Pro Tem McCaskill reconvened the meeting at 6:50pm. 3. HOLIDAY SAFETY INITIATIVE Assistant City Manager and Director of Economic Development & Tourism Alison Ortowski introduced Assistant Police Chief Ashleigh Casey who provided information about the 2020 Holiday Safety Initiatives.
