Yelverton, City Manager FROM: Chris Tribble, Director of Community Services SUBJECT: Approve Facilities Utilization Agreement with Southlake Girls Softball Association Action Requested: City Council approval of the Facilities Utilization Agreement with Southlake Girls Softball Association Background Information: Each year the City partners with several athletic associations to provide youth athletic programming to the Southlake community. The Southlake Girls Softball Association is the City’s current provider of softball programs in Southlake. The proposed Facilities Utilization Agreement (FUA) with Southlake Girls Softball Association provides athletic fields to the association from January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2021. The current FUA will expire December 31, 2019. The proposed FUA is the same agreement previously approved by City Council on October 17, 2017 which included the “Policy for Provision of Athletic Facilities.” There are no changes recommended for the 2020-2021 FUA. A copy of the proposed FUA with Southlake Girls Softball Association is attached for your consideration. Financial Considerations: The Southlake Girls Softball Association will pay field maintenance fees of $12.00 per resident per season and $17.00 per non-resident per season to assist the City with offsetting a portion of the maintenance and operations costs. Strategic Link: This item is linked to the City’s Strategy Map related to the focus area of Performance Management and Service Delivery and meets the corporate objectives to collaborate with select partners to implement service solutions. 4F-1 City of Southlake Values: Integrity ♦ Innovation ♦ Accountability ♦ Commit ment to Excellence ♦ Teamwork Shana K.
