SB Item 6 - DemonstrationSign Variance Application
Demonstration
for
Manor Interiors
405 Grand Ave E
Southlake, TX 76092
1. We are new tenants to Southlake Town Square. As part of the finish out we were requested
by RPAI to add window treatment to the 8 faux windows on the sides and back of the building
at 405 Grand Ave E. We have spent time researching other business in the square to come
up with a treatment that would compliment the shopping center and bring added beauty to the
structure. We have also invested our money in paying to have these window treatments made
and installed. In removing this treatments, we will be left with the burden of having to recre-
ate a new treatment, pay for installation of those said treatment and pay for removal of the
old ones.
2. As stated above, these treatments were made specifically for 405 Grand Ave E. so therefore
this hardship is unique for this affected property.
3. We feel and our property management company feel that these window treatments add a
sense of presence and sophistication to Southlake Town Square and have been mislabeled
by the City as a sign.
4. We understand the need to have sign regulations to keep the clutter down in this beautiful city
and do not feel that by having our company initial on the treatments that we are abusing the
sign ordinance as it was designed to be utilized.
We appreciate your time and hope that you consider to issue a variance for us on this important
matter.
Best Regards,
