SB Item 7 - DemonstrationSign Variance Application
Demonstration
950 S. Kimbell Ave. Southlake, TX 76092
1. To position the sign per code will require that the sign power supplies and electrical boxes
would terminate into a clients’ secure storage area that could restrict the owners access to the
sign for service or emergencies. The primary wiring would also need to be rerouted from the
ceiling area of the building down to the first floor. The owners would need to remove an
exterior security light fixture mounted where the sign would be required to be placed.
2. As the facility provides secure storage the owners have limited access to the leased spaces. The
construction of the building is such that the location of the current sign is in the “attic” of the
building and does not encroach into a secure space.
3. We are looking to replace the existing sign with a new one and locate it in the same location on
the building fascia. There are other companies within the immediate area that have signs
placed on the second-floor fascia.
4. The sign will stay within the allowable SF for the sign and Logo and will be positioned in the
same location of the current sign.
