FORUM SUMMARY:
Property Situation:
The property is located at 301 Byron Nelson Pkwy.
Development Details:
The applicant is proposing an approximately 10,000 sq. ft. Pre-K classroom addition to
Rockenbaugh Elementary School. In addition, the applicant has been tasked with setting up a
drop-off loop for K-4, a bus loop, and a Pre-K drop-off path; all separated. Lighting modifications
will be included, as well as additional drop-off canopies: two (2) serving the proposed Pre-K
building, one (1) serving the K-4 side, and an additional canopy at the front of the existing school
building. To slow traffic by drop-off locations, two speed tables will be added. Parking will be
expanded to serve the capacity of the school. The proposed Pre-K classroom addition sits where
the playground is currently located; therefore, the playground will be moved to another location,
but still adjacent to the proposed Pre-K building. Building materials used during construction will
look similar to the original building.

• Front connector that will connect to existing school
• Back connector that will connect to a drop-off canopy
