Gentlemen:
HEC Contractors is requesting approval of a site plan to add a 3000 square foot
warehouse facility to our 1.1 -acre property located at 2000 Greenwood Dr. SPIN
Neighborhood #10
The facility currently serves as our business headquarters for all operations and has for the past
24 years. The purpose of our request is to provide additional inside storage space for our
materials, to better utilize our lot. We feel this space will allow us to improve the overall
efficiency and look of our facility.
We will be asking for a variance to the landscape buffer to the north and west of our
existing building mostly due to the fact that we have existing concrete paving there that would
need to be removed to accommodate it. This layout was originally there and has been in place
for the past 24 years. The north side currently has some large screening trees growing on the
site and provides a fair amount of screening.
In order to match our existing facility, we are a requesting a variance to install masonry on the
west and south street facing walls. We would install factory finished metal sheathing on the
north and east walls, again to try and closely match our existing building. We propose to
articulate the street facing west wall only, which would require us to request a variance for that
requirement.
We are not requesting a zoning change or special use of our property. It will remain the
same use.
